Things That Just Don't Help, People

I'm not pretendig to understand, and I won't. But I understand what you mean, it's obvious to us Christians homosexuality is wrong and an abomination...we know that, but they don't know that. They make it seem as if God hates the individual itself but its not true! God hates the sin, but he loves us and not just Christians but everyone. It's they're disicion to accept the change of lifestyle in their heart and soul. It doesn't mean, do it again or stay that way, it means when they accept Christ and accept Him completely, they change completely. I know God is merciful and loving. I hope you feel better, and don't be discouraged,God may use you to deliever hope to those in need.
Take care

Well, we could probably talk for hours about what "changing completely" really means... I'm not saying a relationship with God isn't transformational (any Christian would know that it most certainly is), but I'm becoming more and more convinced that the type of change you are hoping for (for yourself or others) is not often the type that God has in store for you.

Anyway, all of that's a non-issue anyway, especially if we can't get homosexuals to trust Christians in the first place. We have to show them a love that they can understand before we can show them a love they don't understand. A lot of Christians are putting the cart before the horse and not being mindful of that, though.

Thanks for stopping by, France!

You're right.I think Love can do more than we think, especially Gods love. And you're welcome, Jay

Well said Jay. I have been thinking a lot about what disturbs me regarding the way certain Christians respond to this issue--particularly those on the religious right--and how can I respond to that in a graceful way to try to influence these commentators to be more understanding. It does seem to come down to simply lack of compassion.
